Hold your horses! This isn’t actually camel meat, but it is one of the best sandwiches in Toronto from a place called Black Camel (4 Crescent Ave., just outside Rosedale subway station). There are five different sandwiches that are $7 each and include two condiments/sauces. My favourite by far is the Slow-Roasted Beef Brisket (shown above) which goes through a five-day preparation process, but there’s also Pulled Pork Shoulder, Seared Steak, Roasted Pulled Chicken and a vegetarian option with Tomato, Pepper, Arugula & Eggplant.

I personalize the beef brisket with the Black Camel BBQ sauce, Chipotle Mayo and for an extra $0.90 add Fontina Cheese to the mix. The sandwich is one hot, tender, massive mess, and I promise you won’t forget the first time you bite into it.

The Black Camel is only open till 8 pm, there’s no official sign and the camel on the flag only has one hump. But for meat-eaters everywhere, trust us, you’re gonna want to commit the following image to memory.
